About WebkinzPlay.com

The inspiration behind creating WebkinzPlay.com comes from being a father of two daughter ages 4 and 6. The six year old has taken to this whole Webkinz craze.

At first I despised Ganz, the parent company that created Webkinz, for teaching my daughter how to shop online. I thought Webkinz was nothing more than a ploy by a toy company to start training young kids how to add items to an online shopping basket and proceed through to the check-out in an e-commerce environment.

While it is true that my daughter has learned how to shop online at Webkinz World, I am no longer agitated by the online shopping component of the virtual Webkinz World.

Why am I fine with Webkinz now?

I am at ease with everything to do with the virtual world Ganz has created because I only allow my daughter internet time under my direct supervision, as every parent should, and what I saw was simply amazing! My daughter was shopping online but she was quickly learning that she can't buy everything she wants for her Webkinz. In Webkinz World, if you don't care for your animal, buying them food and essential items for everyday life, their health will begin to suffer.

Webkinz World enables me to communicate and educate my daughter about responsibility and real life issues in a fun environment. I know there are many other parents who are concerned about whether or not Webkinz is a healthy game for their kids. My fellow parent, spend time playing Webkinz with your child and you will be amazed with the conversations you have with your child about everyday living and just how easy it is to educate your kids about responsiblity.
